Using Marlee during your work day

Learn how to use Marlee to prepare for meetings and presentations or resolve conflicts with colleagues

This guide teaches you how to use Marlee during your workday. Marlee can help you prepare for one-on-one meetings with your manager or leadership team, convince others, and adapt your communications to align with others faster on complex projects.

Before we start, ensure your team is connected with you in the Marlee app and set up a team workspace.

Let's get started.

First, visit the Marlee website at GetMarlee.com.

Step #1: Go to Marlee and click on "Log in".

To prepare for a one-on-one with your manager, type a question like "How do I connect with Bethany?"

Step #2: Click in the search field.
Step #3: Type your question, "How do I connect with Bethany?" Click on Bethany when it appears in the drop-down menu.
Step #4: Click on "Generate."

Marlee will provide instant insights into Bethany's preferred communication style and details on connecting with her in your one-on-one meeting.

Step #5: At the top, Marlee reveals ways to connect with Bethany.

You can also use our examples of queries or prompts to ask Marlee questions about yourself or others during your work day.

Step #6: Click on the search field for examples.

To prepare for a presentation and convince executives quickly, you could type into the search field, "What do Bethany and Ed need to be convinced?

Step #7: Click on Bethany when it appears in the drop-down menu.
Step #8: Click on Ed when it appears in the drop-down menu.
Step #9: Click on "Generate."
Step #10: Marlee shares insights to help you adapt your presentation and communications by considering how each person is convinced about things.
Step #11: Marlee shares how each person makes decisions.

If you're experiencing conflict with a colleague during your workday, click on the search box.

Step #12: Type your question in the search field.

You can ask Marlee, "What are the potential areas of conflict between me and Jade?"

Step #13: Click on Jade when it appears in the drop-down box.
Step #14: Click on "Generate."

Marlee predicts where friction may arise because of different communication styles or ways of working.

Step #15: Read Marlee's predictions on where conflict may arise.

Marlee shares insights on how Jade and I approach change differently, which may cause conflict.

Step #16: Scroll down to read Marlee's insights.
Step #17: Read insights on how you each make decisions in different ways.
Step #18: Read insights on how you could come together to resolve your conflict.
